RESIDENTS at a Coolangatta complex were awoken by a raging fire underneath their units last night.

About 2.45am the residents woke up to find their garages were well alight.

Police said the occupants saw four of the five garages were in flames.

Emergency services extinguished the fire which was contained to the garage area.

No-one was injured and Queensland police are now investigating the blaze.
