Academy seeks netball talents

THE North Coast Academy of Sport (NCAS) is seeking applications for its new netball 15s Talented Athlete Program (TAP). The TAP squad concept has been %developed by Netball NSW and the 11 regional academies throughout NSW in response to Netball Australia's introduction this year of an Australian 17-and-under team. This state-wide approach will ensure that current 15-year-old girls from the North Coast and other areas of NSW will have a structured development pathway that identifies and develops those with the most potential to progress to higher level state squads, and ultimately, the Australian 17-and-under team. Those selected will train towards the 2007 ASI Clubs NSW Academy Games from October 9 to 11 at Terrigal. These games between the 11 regional academies will be used to choose the Netball NSW Talented Athlete Program. Applications close on Monday, July 16. See www.ncas.org.au
