Finks showa soft side

FINKS Motorcycle Club members bared their softer side yesterday when they donated $3000 to the Children's Ward of the Murwillumbah District Hospital.

Spokesman for the Northern Rivers NSW Finks Motorcycle Club Sam Really said the funds, raised at a motor show for bikes, hot rods and boats at Chinderah in late September, would help ease the pain for children staying in hospital.

It was the third year the club has donated funds to the hospital with the money this year providing lounge chairs that fold so parents can sleep near their children in hospital.

Mr Really said the club had decided to support the children's ward at Murwillumbah Hospital because it seemed to miss out on funds raised by other groups which generally supported Tweed Heads and Gold Coast Hospitals.

And he said the club wanted to say special thanks to the many sponsors who supported their motor show, making the donation possible.
