Golf show has something for all

IF golfing is your game, then the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre will be the place to be next month when the PGA Golf Show opens to the public. The four day expo features a two-day trade event on Thursday and Friday, September 6 and 7, before the doors open to the public on Saturday and Sunday, September 8 and 9. Now part of Golf Industry Week, the expo will cater for all golf product exhibitors, retail buyers and enthusiasts and industry experts will showcase the latest golf equipment, fashion, holidays, real estate, lessons, club memberships and contests. The PGA Golf Show is an ideal opportunity for children and adults alike to gain hands-on golfing experience with plenty of opportunities for everyone to improve their skills and golfing knowledge. Try out the latest clubs, win a golf holiday, buy a golf cart, have a swing lesson with a PGA pro, get free putting tips from international coaches, out drive your best mate on a computer simulator, win grand prizes, get inspired about a future in golf and sign on for beginners classes. The Super Putt Challenge features 10 lanes to test putting skills and the chance to win great prizes such as games of golf at the Sanctuary Cove Golf Resort. The Australian Long Drive Championship will be held on the Full Swing golf simulator, and the longest hitters automatically qualify for the Australian Long Drive Championship final in late September. Tee off with swing lessons from the who's who of Australian PGA golf and practise perfect putting techniques with international golf coach Harold Swash, creator of the Yes C-Groove putter and coach of the European Ryder Cup Team.

At the Golf Careers Centre, aspiring professional golfers and beginners alike have the opportunity to get career advice and information from PGA pros. The special PGA Kids Zone offers golf simulators for kids, free mini-lessons and clinics with PGA instructors, putting, chipping and spot the ball contests, a chance for kids to record their best swing on a take home DVD, and win prizes from Cadbury Schweppes, as well as junior program registrations and information on how to get involved in the game.
