Hark our angels are singing

'TIS the season for carols.

Knox Park will be the venue for the Combined Churches of Murwillumbah annual Christmas carols on Saturday, December 11 at 7pm.

The emphasis is on family with Philharmonic, combined churches, St Joseph and East Murwillumbah School choirs, puppets, local solo artists and Bethlehem Experience, a nativity play telling the story of the birth of Christ.

Proceeds from candle sales and collection will support scripture programs in local schools.

Bring along a chair and a rug as the nights are often cool.

In the event of rain the carols will move to All Saints Anglican Church.

n?Carols are also being held at several venues around the Tweed during the next few weeks.

The Daily News is sponsoring carols at the Tweed Valley College Murwillumbah on December 12 from 6.30pm; Carols in the Park at North Justine Park The Esplanade Burleigh Heads from 5.30pm (Qld) on December 12; Carols by the Coast at Lions Park Marine Parade Kingscliff 7pm on December 16; Carols on the Beach Coolangatta Beach 6.30pm (Qld) on December 19 and Christmas Eve Carols at The Centre Cnr Leisure and Woodland Drive Banora Point from 7pm on December 24.
