Higgins jury retires

THE JURY deciding the fate of the former Byron Bay banker accused of fraud are still to give their verdict.

The jury retired at 11.15am yesterday at the Lismore District Court and are expected to give their verdict on Graham Patrick Higgins on Monday.

Higgins has pleaded not guilty of defrauding an elderly nursing home resident of $78,303 in 2001 while he was the manager of the Tweed City Commonwealth Bank.
