History in pics at city centre

THE work of Tweed photographer the late Charlie Simpson is featured in a display arranged by Tweed Heads Historical Society and Maritime and Heritage Museum at Tweed City Shopping Centre at Tweed Heads South this week.

Visitors to the centre have been impressed by the quality of local beach scenes from around the Tweed and Gold Coast in the 1950s.

Society members will be on hand to answer questions and publications of Tweed historian Peter Winter's popular Look Back series also on display and can be purchased from the stand which is open until Sunday.
