Junior titles taken by stormo Hockey

KINGSCLIFF junior Zaan Togo has just about come back to earth after the excitement of being part of the victorious Queensland under-13 team at the National Invitational Championships at Coffs Harbour.

The team made a clean sweep of the round-robin competition which saw them matched against teams from South Australia, Vic- toria, ACT, and two NSW teams.

The team had some very easy early wins defeating ACT 13-0, South Australia 9-0 and NSW II Waratahs 9-0, before beating Victoria 6-5 in a nail-biter.

In the final game Queensland tipped their traditional rivals NSW 3-1.

Zaan was the only NSW-based player in the team and has been staying in touch with his new interstate friends by email.
