Kingscliff putting on ritz



It's time for art,food, great jazzTHE Kingscliff Art, Food and All that Jazz Festival begins tonight with "The World's Greatest Progressive Dinner".

Dance along the street to the tunes of La Gran Salsa as you groove your tastebuds through the best restaurants Kingscliff has to offer.

Commencing at 7pm and expecting to swing on into the night, the famous street party is the "must do" event of the festival.

A cooking class, Taste the Tweed, with demonstrations and tastings kicks off the weekend of festivities at 11am.

An exhibition of urban, street and underground art opens at 6pm at The Hall and runs through to Sunday.

Enjoy your day and swing on into the night, but don't forget to save some energy for the rest of the weekend that promises to tickle your tastes of sensation.

Saturday morning is for the kiddies with the Street Art Bazaar kicking off at 9am.

Workshops include Clay Play, Circus Skills and Portrait Painting and the children can even help make a giant sea serpent for the parade.

An art walk from 4pm takes in a multivenue exhibition of some of the regions most accomplished artists.

Don't forget to take the family along to Marine Parade activities from early evening.

Street performances begin at 9.30am and end at 6pm, with jazz musicians performing live at The Hall from 8.30pm.

And then there's Sunday from 9.30am with a Gospel Celebration in the Park and ending with a Blues Party Jam from 4pm.
