Man shot during argument with housemate

A MAN has been admitted to hospital after being shot in the leg during a dispute with his housemate on the Gold Coast.

Police say the 20-year-old man became involved in an argument with his 21-year-old housemate at their Upper Coomera residence about 5pm (AEST) on Sunday which resulted in him being shot in the leg.

He was transported to the Gold Coast Hospital with a non-life threatening gun shot wound to his right leg and remains in a stable condition.

The 21-year-old man was seen leaving the address in a red Holden sedan with no number plates.
