Murphy?s Rd a premier location

A $42 million luxury apartment boom is under way on what is Australia's up-and-coming exclusive address - Murphy's Road at Kingscliff - transforming it into the nation's premier beachfront address.

With only 11 sites bordered by pristine, private beaches on one side and sporting fields on the other, Murphy's Road's million-dollar views can never be built out.

Usher Powell Developments, the Winten Group and Resort Corp have major projects under way, marketed by Coldwell Banker, Colliers International and PRD nationwide respectively.

The pioneer of luxury development on the Tweed Coast, Usher Powell has already begun marketing its luxury zen apartments, which begin construction next month. Zen recently achieved a then-record price for a ground-floor residence, announcing its first sale to Gold Coast businessman, Mr Greg Hewitt for $1,522,500.

Coldwell Banker Property Australia principal Ms Carol Carter has predicted that Mur- phy's Road would become the most exclusive beachfront address on the eastern seaboard.

"Over time, beachfront property has proven that it always out-performs. Murphy's Road will be no different," she said.

Other projects under way in Murphy's Road include Soraya on Dreamtime Beach apart- ments, and Winten's One Murphy's Road, which will be a $24 million project comprising two, three-level buildings, housing 10 three-bedroom apartments, one full floor penthouse and four, three-bedroom villas.
