Outrigger sets sail

THE Tweed Coast has a new pub.

Yesterday was the opening of the Saltbar tavern bistro, part of the new Outrigger resort which also opened yesterday at the Salt township south of Kingscliff.

The Saltbar's main chef is Michael Jenkins, who has worked with the prestigious Peppers group, which also has a top quality accommodation project under way at Salt.

Among the 30 mostly local new employees at the Saltbar is Georgie Chapman of Terranora, pictured, looking forward to her new job as a bar attendant in one of the most pleasant working environments in Australia.
