Passing on some tasty tips

FOUR Athens Olympians including Kingscliff's Nathan Eglington conducted a coaching clinic for young hockey players at Barrie Smith, Hockey Field, Murwillumbah yesterday. Eglington was joined by fellow Athens gold medallist Liam de Young and women's reps Angie Skirving and Carmel Bakurski. The group put more than 70 young local players, from under eights to under 16s, through their paces. The clinic is part of a series of clinics being sponsored by Sports Link International and being conducted throughout Australia. Eglington and company head to Lismore today. "We enhance the basics while at the same time we show them some tricky stuff to keep them interested," Eglington said. "It is a lot of fun. I really enjoy it."
