Photo comp spreading word on digitals



POTTSVILLE CTC (community technology centre) wants to spread the word about the digital trend through the "Long Hot Summer" photography competition.

The NSW CTC network has launched the competition, with Pottsville CTC one of 41 centres vying for one of the three first prizes of a Sony Cybershot digital camera.

Everyone is encouraged to get out their camera and take that shot which the captures the essence of summer. Pottsville CTC manager Alison Turner said the competition was also open to film-camera users, with their shots scanned onto computer.

The competition is open in three categories, 17 years and under, Open 18-54 years, seniors 55 and over and closes on February 28.
