Polewalkers tackle record

MICHAEL Gates and his son Jay will attempt the world polewalking record with a 36-hour non-stop marathon between South Tweed Heads and Kingscliff tomorrow. The event will double as a charity fundraiser for the Pre-Term Infants Parents Association (PIPA) and Lions Club of Kingscliff Miss Personality Quest entrant Kimberley Hardcastle, pictured above with Mr Gates.
