Ralph girls in town

THE Ralph swimwear model-of-the-year competition is on again and Twin Towns Services Club is grabbing a piece of the action.

The club yesterday announced it has been selected to host the night-of-nights for the spectacular swimwear section of the national swimwear model search competition.

A record-breaking 40 models were selected from venues around Australia and New Zealand for the 2006 Ralph swimwear model competition, rated one of the biggest in Australia.

Under the discerning eyes of the judges, the girls will embark on a solid week of activities and appearances around the Gold Coast, before the final judging on April 1.

The overall winner will get a share of the $40,000 prize pool, a feature shoot with the racy men's magazine and star on the front cover of the 2007 Ralph swimwear calendar.

Twin Towns manager of corporate sales, Phil Villiers said yesterday the club was looking forward to the night.

"It's a big profile event and we are pleased the organisers gave us the opportunity to hold it here," he said.

"Twin Towns does a lot of different things and this is certainly different. I'm certainly not expecting any complaints," Mr Villiers said.

Tickets go on sale on Monday March 13.
