Surf champ Joel set to tie the knot



WORLD number two Joel Parkinson will tie the knot with his childhood high school sweetheart Monica in two weeks time.

The Coolangatta surfing legend is considered to be the most promising challenger to Andy Irons World title domination.

Joel has planned the big occasion at the Coolangatta Catholic Church on the hill.

The church overlooks the famous southern end Gold Coast point breaks and is timed perfectly between the two WCT events, ie this week's Quiksilver Pro and the annual Easter Rip Curl Pro to be held at Bells Beach.
