Tagan?s hot for Indy

TWEED Heads gym instructor Tagan Williams, who is a national finalist for this year's Bartercard Miss Indy title, is hoping her first major modelling quest will lead to further opportunities.

The 19-year-old journalism student at Griffith University won her Miss Indy heat at Coolangatta Hotel last month and will now represent the hotel in her bid to claim the prestigious title from 40 other attractive contenders.

Tagan, a keen surfer and thirdgeneration 'Cooly kid', is a former Coolangatta Primary School and Palm Beach Currumbin High School student.

"I love surfing and like getting down to my favourite breaks at D'bah and Snapper Rocks," she said.

Tagan is confident of her chances in the lead-up to the title quest but more importantly, looking forward to making new friends, opening up further opportunities and enjoying herself as a Miss Indy girl.

"It sounds like it'll be a whole lot of fun," she said.

The Miss Indy title will be announced on October 20 at the Gold Coast Convention Centre with the winner receiving over $30,000 of prizes including a $10,000 promotional contract.
