Terranora girls share award

TERRANORA Primary School students Yanna Livingston and Catie Smith have shared a lot of their sporting experiences this year and now they have shared an award.

The pair have become the first girls to tie for the Ross Elder Award - for the outstanding senior sportsgirls in the Tweed Zone of the Primary School Sports Association.

The award is named after former Condong Primary School principal, the late Ross Elder - a dedicated sportsman and supporter of chil- drens sport. The talented duo made the North Coast PSSA Touch team and then both went on to make the NSW side playing in the Australian PSSA titles on the Gold Coast. The pair, both members of Twin Towns Little Athletics, also both qualified for the state titles in long jump and also made the North Coast soccer team.

The two will go their seperate ways next year with Janna going to Tweed River High and Catie to Lindisfarne.
