Terranora?s triple crown enters history books
TENNIS Terranora has sent local sporting historians racing to the record boooks after winning all three divisions of the Tweed District Men's Tennis Winter Competition.
As yet no-one can recall it ever happening before, so the group is happy to claim the record.
The club came close last season, winning division one, finishing runners-up in division two and being knocked out of the semis of the thirds.
It looked as though they had missed out again this year with both the division one Bohica team and Division two TJ sides winning the minor premiership, while the Division three Liners were in third going into the finals.
But last Thursday they were all able to put it together to take the rare triple crown.
However there will be little time to celebrate with most of the team's players going straight into the summer season which starts on Thursday night.
