Three cheers for our girls



ELANORA High school students will soon be cheering on the best teams in the NRL when they perform at this year's grand final in Sydney. The Elanora cheerleading squad of 17 was selected to be part of the Australian Team to perform at the half-time break after several good results this year. The sqaud enjoyed success recently winning three gold medals at a large international competition at Carrara where they competed against teams from America, Mexico and New Zealand also achieved a second placing at the Queensland State Championships. Team Coach Simone Nairn said the squad had been performing extremely well in their first year of competition. "We have a group of very talented kids," she said.
