Top dragon ladies

CURRUMBIN'S high achieving Masters Womens Team from the local dragonboat club can add some new medals to their collection after the team returned triumphant with gold and bronze medals from the Australian Dragonboat Championships in Victoria.

The championships, held earlier in the month, heralded a return to form for the ladies who, after an explosive start in the 500 metres club crew grand final, managed to hold on to their lead to cross the line first to become national champions.

They won bronze in the 200 metre sprint.

Their success at the nationals titles have qualified them for the World Club Crew Championships in Canada in August.
