Club CEO Darryl Bozicevic said although based in NSW, the club was founded as the Coolangatta Tweed Heads Bowls Club 70 years ago.

He said since then, it has always been part of the QLD Association, which means it qualifies to enter the QLD awards.

"We are thrilled to have been nominated as one of three finalists in these prestigious awards," Bozicevic said. "It's a reflection of the sincere commitment shown by Club members."
