Wonderful gesture

By BRAD RICKS

KINGSCLIFF resident Katrina Kerrison sure does have some good friends.

In fact, one of them gave her a $3000, week-long holiday at Camp Eden Health Retreat.

Mrs Kerrison's friend Barbara won the holiday after entering a competition in the Daily News, which was run in conjunction with the Whole Woman Festival.

Yesterday the overjoyed mother-of-two said she could not believe her friend's generosity.

"I work a couple of days a week and I have the two kids, so for me to organise something like this would be impossible," she said.

"Even if it was possible, I just couldn't justify spending $3000 on myself.

"This is better than wonderful."

Mrs Kerrison said she was already planning for her time at the retreat.

"I had a look at it on the internet, it looks great," she said.

"The first thing I'll do is probably go on a rainforest walk, but then after that I'll spend the week just doing nothing, enjoying myself."

The Whole Woman Festival finished last Saturday, with the Women Planting Seeds of Change Forum at the Tweed and Coolangatta Golf Club.
