Young surfers to strut stuff

THE Tweed Coast's best young surfers will get the chance to strut their stuff on the competitive stage when they line up in the Wahoo's Micro Grom Comp on the Gold Coast this weekend.

The two-day event, for boys and girls competing in age divisions from under 10 years through to under 16, has attract- ed more than 100 entries from Angourie in the south to Agnes Waters in the north but Tweed and Gold Coast surfers, including a strong contingent from the Snapper Rocks Boardriders Club, will be among the favourites.

The event will be held in the best waves between Duranbah and Burleigh with organisers to make a decision tomorrow morning.
