‘Are you kidding me Channel 7?’
CHANNEL Seven viewers flooded social media with complaints last night after the latest episode of reality show Bride and Prejudice ended with on hugely frustrating cliffhanger.
For weeks now, the show has followed the story of Chris, a gay man preparing to marry his partner and desperate for his disapproving Sunshine Coast parents to have a change of heart and agree to attend the big day.

In last night's penultimate episode of the season, it appeared we'd finally get to see the resolution of Chris's story.
"Tonight. His big day. Will his dad be there? Will his mum?" teased TV ads for the episode.
As the show started, a voice over promised viewers would see "an unexpected twist for Chris" during the episode.
But as the hour wore on, it became increasingly clear Chris's story would not be the focus this week, with the episode instead focusing on two other couples.
With less than two minutes left in the show, we finally got to the morning of Chris's wedding. We saw him sit down with two family friends, who told him they had some important news to deliver.
"I felt we should give you the news now, so you've got time to adjust," they warned him.

And that was it. Fade to black. "Next week, on Bride and Prejudice ..."
On the show's Facebook page, viewers complained of "fake and misleading advertising," and others vented their frustration on Twitter.
I have to wait another week. Are you fudging kidding me right now... #brideandprejudice pic.twitter.com/yGjJ3ybGT2

Others used humour to express their disappointment:
#Brideandprejudice Chris & Grants wedding has gone longer than my Mums1st marriage & I was conceived during that time!

And so on - that's just a sample of the dozens of tweets from angry viewers.
We've approached Seven for comment on the viewer-enraging programming choice, but in the meantime, we do have some good news: next week is the show's season finale, so they definitely cannot drag this damn thing out any longer.
