Artist inspired by love of museums and atlases

A new exhibition of sculptural works in paper and mixed media by Mullumbimby artist Liz Powell opened this week at the Tweed River Art Gallery.

Titled The Library of Atlas, the exhibition will be on display until June 2.

The inspiration for the work in this exhibition began with the artist's love of museums and libraries and what they often contain - atlases, maps and their associated collections.

The official opening of Library of Atlas by Samantha Moss is on Saturday April 20 at 5pm (for 5.30pm).

Contact the Gallery on (02) 6670 2790 for more information.
