Attack on Titan star meets fans
BRYCE Papenbrook has a CV long enough to rival the Bible but he’s most recently been in the limelight for his role as the Attack on Titan male protagonist, Eren Jaeger.
The anime has been popular since it was released in 2014. The American voice actor was looking forward to returning to the pop culture expo next month.
“I’m excited to be coming back to Supanova,” Papenbrook said.
“I came to Perth a few years back and I got to see a bit of Melbourne.”
Papenbrook expected to see a good mixture of fans from his different work at the expo. “Attack on Titan is definitely one of the most popular shows,” he said.
Visiting Supanova with co-star Trina Nishimura was a bonus, he said.
“It’ll be awesome to have both of us there.”
Aside from the odd television commercial and background voice acting, Papenbrook has found himself cemented as a “young hero” actor, largely because his voice “hasn’t changed since middle school”. He was looking forward to catching up with fans at the event. “That’s exactly what I love about it, that connection with fans. Just seeing the fans again is what I’m excited about.”
