Fury at ‘feral’ Aussies’ naked Bali antics

A group of young Australians in Bali have been branded "feral" and "disgusting" after footage emerged of them running naked, urinating in public and yelling insults at locals on the holiday island.

The shocking video was filmed by the group's Balinese tour guide and uploaded on Snapchat on Saturday, according to 7News.

It shows at least five men, who appear to be drunk, urinating in public, damaging property and carrying on with wild antics on a party bus.

One of the men yells at a passer-by, calling them a "f***ing idiot".

At another point in the video, some of the men strip naked before running along the side of a road.

"Do it nude. You got to do it naked or it's not funny," one of the men can be heard telling the others.

The obscene video has since been shared among Bali travel groups on Facebook, where the tourists have been roundly panned.

"Feral bogans. gives Aussies a bad name, disgusting," one person commented.

"Send them home," someone else wrote. "Absolutely disgraceful. The Balinese people deserve better."

Someone else added: "Name and shame them. What muppets. They should never be aloud to travel outside Australia again."

Other Bali travellers said they often felt the need to apologise on behalf of badly behaved Aussies on the Indonesian holiday island.

"Been to Bali (six) times, love the place and every trip have felt the need to apologise for other Aussies' behaviours," someone else commented.

"Sad but truth is these guys are representing us whether we like it or not. Teach your kids respect."

Ross Taylor, from the Indonesia Institute in Western Australia, told 7News he'd "never seen anything as obscene" as what he saw in the video.

He also said the behaviour of the men would be seen as deeply disrespectful to the Balinese people.

"Something like this is just seen as a mixture of offence, disdain," he told 7News. "And it's also an insult to Australians."
