Aussies jump into all Rio Olympic equestrian events
EQUESTRIAN: Australia will compete across all three equestrian disciplines at next year's Olympics in Rio after the showjumping team booked its place by finishing second in the regional
qualifiers in Germany.
With the eventing and dressage teams having already booked their spots, it will be the third consecutive Olympics that
Australia has been represented across each of the categories.
Dual Olympian Edwina Tops-Alexander and
teammates Julia Hargreaves, Scott Keach and sJamie Kermond performed strongly in Hagen, finishing second to Japan to book the team's place in Rio.
"We would have liked to have won, we're all very competitive, but in general the horses jumped really well and we were happy with that," Tops-Alexander said.
