Author and mentor has led no ordinary life

SHE grew up in the Tweed, but a lot of water has passed under the bridge since Rhiannon Rees skinned her knees and climbed up trees in her homeland.

The author and business coach has had an extraordinary life.

"Not the least of events in my life was coming home to find my handsome, strong, firefighter husband in lingerie," she told My Daily News.

Her book, How to Climb Mount Everest in Sandals tells of a life far from ordinary and a longing for the ordinary life.

It's about experiences that could fill three lifetimes.

From discovering her husband to be transgender, living in a tent with a one-year-old child through to coaching The Spice Girls and the cast of Grey's Anatomy, her book aims to help empower others to live full lives.

"If you know your goals and believe in them, they will come through for you," she said.

"I turned my life around and I want to help others to do the same.

"Sharing my experiences is a way of showing how even the worst situations in life can be turned around with a positive mind set."
