TWEED Shire Council's inaugural business breakfast has set the bar high for future events with a leading economist in community economics as a guest speaker.

Michael H Schuman is also an author, attorney and entrepreneur.

"Michael will discuss his experience in finding new, cost-effective pathways for local investment and the kind of reforms that could boost jobs and economic development in Australia," the council's general manager David Keenan said.

Mr Keenan said the breakfasts were to promote economic and employment growth in the shire.

The business breakfast will be held at the Kingscliff Beach Bowls Club at Kingscliff in September 25 at 6.30am for a 7am start, with the event concluding at 8.15am.

Bookings are essential by Thursday.

To book call the council on 02 6670 2400.

Tickets for the event are $20 and it includes breakfast.
