Back seat learner driver charged after breath test

A WOMAN stopped by police tried to avoid a breath test by hopping into the back seat of her car, police have said.

The woman was pulled over about 1.20am yesterday at Dyraaba Street, Casino.

Police said the 26-year-old female driver tried to jump into the back seat.

The woman was breath tested and she returned a positive result.

She was taken to Casino Police Station where she underwent a breath analysis test.

The woman will be charged with driving with a mid range alcohol level and unaccompanied learner.
