ROSE and Clare Stunzner are moving from cattle to the catwalk.

The Bajool sisters were chosen from more than 400 teens to join eight other Queensland finalists in the Girlfriend Rimmel Model Search.

The two small-town girls are over the moon.

Rose, 17, said she originally attended only to support her 15-year-old sister, but her modelling agency encouraged her to enter she decided to participate.

After winning Miss Country Girl when she was 15, Rose has decided to pursue modelling as a career, at least in the short term.

She said her parents were very proud.

"Mum's really supportive," she said.

"Dad's like 'my daughters are growing up too fast!'

"They're very proud; Mum flashes photos all the time."

The girls will now have to battle it out for a spot as one of the six national finalists in August, before the winner is announced in Sydney.

The competition has seen the beginning of many successful careers including those of Alyssa Sutherland, Samantha Harris, Catherine McNeil, and Abbey Lee Kershaw.

The winner will receive a two-year modeling contract and an appearance in two Girlfriend fashion shoots.
