THEY have nothing to do with AC/DC.
The name is a quirky mystery - just like this absolute gem of a band.
The Melbourne seven piece are hitting the road to celebrate the release of double A-side 'Let's Do What The Catholics Do | Here Comes Summer'.
The Bon Scotts are like a memory of something you heard before, ever so slightly, but then a new element - a background of pop accordion; shouted choruses; snappy horn section - reminds you this is most definitely new.
Its lead singer Robert Zimmerman's vocals that give the tunes a nostalgic glow.
He has a strangely sexy Robert Smith (The Cure) thing going on, with a slightly sarcastic, occasionally bleeding heart, always engaging style of delivery.
The Bon Scotts have some finely crafted pop songs with interesting lyrics - sex, polaroids, computer generated images.
