Bank robberies may be linked
GOLD Coast detectives believe that three armed robberies in the past few days, including one at Burleigh Heads, were linked.
Police are investigating connections between the armed robbery of a Burleigh Heads bank on Tuesday, the attempted armed robbery of a bank at Springwood on Wednesday and the armed robbery of a bank at Oxenford the same day.
A man held-up Westpac Bank on James St, Burleigh, about 1.10pm on Tuesday.
No one was injured during the robbery and the offender escaped with cash.
