Banora teen girl charged with grievous bodily harm

A 16-year-old Banora Point teenager has been charged with grievous bodily harm after the serious assault of a man at Mermaid Waters, Queensland, on Saturday.

About 1.50am a man was in the driveway of a Cottesloe Dr address when he was attacked by a group of people, including the teenager. The man's parked car was also damaged by the group.

The man was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

The 16-year-old will be dealt with under the Youth Justice Act.
