Bathurst kings will visit Tweed Heads today

THIS year's Bathurst Kings of the Mountain, Mark 'Frosty' Winterbottom and Steve Richards, will be dropping into Tweed today.

Victory Ford will be hosting the Ford Performance Racing drivers from 11am to 12pm to celebrate their thrilling Bathurst 1000 victory at Mount Panorama on October 13.

"We are extremely excited to have Mark Winterbottom and Steve Richards coming to Victory Ford," General sales manager Brad Wielstra said.

"Not many people get this opportunity."

The pair will be signing autographs for any fans keen to get their own little slice of motorsports history.

"We are expecting a hundred people to come along to meet the Bathurst winners," Mr Wielstra said.

Victory Ford is located at 16-20 Minjungbal Dr, Tweed Heads South.

This year's Bathurst was Winterbottom's first attempt at the iconic race, which he won after an intense back-and-forth battle with Jamie Whincup.

Winterbottom and Steve Richards beat the Holden Whincup shared with Paul Dumbrell, leaving Craig Lowndes and Warren Luff to take third in their Holden.

Ford had not won Bathurst since 2008, making Winterbottom and Richard's dramatic victory all the sweeter for Ford fanatics.
