BMX rider Jared Graves is on form
BEIJING Olympian Jared Graves completed a Gold Coast double at the weekend, winning the fourth round of the BMX national tour series.
Backing up from his third-round victory on New Year’s day, Graves led early and managed to withstand a mid-race challenge by World Cup series winner Sam Willoughby to claim victory in Saturday’s final.
Willoughby finished second, with fellow Adelaide rider Brian Kirkham in third.
Western Australian rider Lauren Reynolds won the women’s final ahead of national champion Caroline Buchanan and USA’s Alise Post.
Buchanan won Friday’s race from Post with Reynolds third.
The next two national rounds will be held in Canberra on March 5-6.
