Best in the tattoo world on show

COOLANGATTA’S Skintastic tattoo and piercing will feature at the upcoming Surf n’ Ink Australia event next week on the Gold Coast.

Parlour owner Trace Steph opened Skintastic seven years ago, and her staff will join top Australian and international tattoo artists at the Gold Coast Convention Centre from today to Sunday, January 17.

“It’s an opportunity for Australian artists to be recognised globally,” Ms Steph said.

Surf n’ Ink manager Lindsay Hall said the event would be the largest and most highly regarded assembly of tattoo artists Australia had seen.

“As well as the international line-up, only the best Australian artists, carefully chosen by an international panel, will be displaying their work,” Ms Hall said.

“The major attraction for those attending is they can come along and take up the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be tattooed by one of the best artists in the world today.”

The convention will cover all aspects of tattoo culture including artists, tattoo workshops and seminars. Visit www.tattoosurfnink.com.
