Bid to wind-up QLD solar energy supplier
Moves are afoot to wind-up a Queensland solar energy business, which specialises in getting residents off the grid and was only registered as a company less than three years ago
Creditors Geoffrey and Glenda Woolston, through DBL Solicitors, have applied to the Supreme Court to wind-up Aussie Off Grid Solar Energy Pty Ltd which is based at Warana.
It's believed the debt is about $21,000 and is the result of a previous judgment.
There were a few poor reviews about Aussie Off Grid Solar Energy left on the online forum SolarQuotes.
One review posted by "Jeff' last week stated that he had been chasing a refund from the company for two years and had now started wind-up proceedings.
"After two years of promising we took Aussie of grid to court and won. They were ordered to refund our money they have not so now we are moving to wind the company up for being insolvent," he posted.
The director of Aussie Off Grid Solar Energy Nathan Gathercole is the director of 19 companies, according to ASIC documents, including Aussie Batteries & Solar.
Both Aussie Off Grid Solar Energy and Aussie Batteries & Solar share the same business address in Technology Drive, Warana.
Aussie Off The Grid specialised in off-grid power systems and installing solar inverters while Aussie batteries & Solar, according to their website, supply batteries "for all applications and complete solar systems".
Mr Gathercole and DBL Solicitors were contacted for comment on Monday.
