Big laughs for September fun
SMILE your way through September with laughs at the Arts Centre Gold Coast every weekend for the rest of the month.
Kicking off at the beginning of September, the Comedy in the Basement series delivers a new comedian every week.
Friday, September 16: Chris Radburn: Former lawyer Chris Radburn is an Aussie comedian who has earned a reputation for clever and cheeky observations that are relatable, original and hilarious. Radburn has performed on stage with stars including Weird Al Yankovic and the Umbilical Brothers.
Saturday, September 17: Matt Okine: 2015 was a huge year for multi-award winning comedian Okine. The host of Triple J breakfast received the prestigious Directors' Choice Award at the 2015 Melbourne International Comedy Festival, before scooping the 2015 ARIA Award for Best Comedy Release.
Friday, September 23: Lindsay Webb: Webb's style features observational comedy mixed with character voices, witness improvisation and awesome interaction with the crowd. He leaves an audience with a truly one-off experience.
Friday, September 30: Ashley Fils-Aime: Born in Haiti and raised in Miami, Florida, Fils-Aime has been performing stand-up comedy since he was 18. From touring Scandinavia to the United States, Ash learned how to become universal in his stand-up while working as national headliner Pablo Francisco's support act for 11 years.
