THEIR opponents may sitting near the bottom of the Gold Coast Rugby League ladder but Bilambil coach Troy McCarthy knows his side an ill-afford to treat Parkwood lightly when the two sides clash at Parkwood tonight in round 13 of the competition.
Bilambil, sitting in third place just behind Tugun and Southport, are looking to hone their game plans in the run towards the end of the season and McCarthy will be looking for a continuation of the discipline and structure which the Jets have showed and now have many punters seeing them as genuine premiership contenders. “It's important that we show Parkwood respect going into this match and don't take this lightly,” McCarthy said.
In other A grade matches this weekend, Ormeau hosts Beaudesert, Runaway Bay are home to Southport, the Hinterland Storm travels to Currumbin and Burleigh is home to Tugun.
In reserve grade and under 19s, South Tweed has the bye.
