BILINGA truly is one of the best kept secrets.
The beach is long and beautiful and quiet.
"That's why I came to live here," said Vietnam veteran Paul Felsman.
"It's an affordable paradise with all the benefits of somewhere like Bondi Beach, without the cost and the population density.
"After Vietnam and the trauma of war, it was the perfect pace to settle down and remember there's a lot of beauty in life as well.'
Shiralee Brett works at George's at Central, right next to the Gold Coast Airport.
"I came here for the job," she said.
"I've met an amazing amount and variety of people from all around the world.
"For a small place, it's very cosmopolitan.
"I don't need to hop on a plane to see the world.
"The world comes to me."
