Blind woman 'groped' twice while travelling in Sydney

POLICE have released images of a man wanted for questioning over the repeated sexual assault of a blind woman on the Sydney rail network this week.

A 23-year-old vision impaired woman told police she was in a lift at Ashfield station when she felt a stranger touch her breast about 11am on Wednesday.

After boarding a train to Gymea in the city's south, the woman again felt a hand on her breast and heard a male voice speaking to her.

When she moved away to another seat, the man allegedly continued to follow and talk to her before eventually walking away.

Investigators released a series of CCTV images of a man of Indian appearance, about 170cm tall.

He was last seen carrying a back pack and wearing a distinctive brown and white striped jacket.

Anyone with information can phone Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
