Blues forced to reshuffle team line-up

FOLLOWING a gusty performance against second-placed Maroochy-North shore last weekend, the Coolangatta Blues will be forced to field a substantially different side when they host Surfers Paradise at Len Peak Oval in round 16 of the Pineapple Hotel Cup tomorrow afternoon.

The Blues are likely to lose their three Papua New Guinea permit players, who shone last week, to division one clubs.

A total of seven changes are likely after the Blues lost Jake Savage (suspended) and Dylan Cicoella (unavailable) and champion ruckman Jason Smith could miss with knee soreness.

This could be Smith's last game for 2009 because he has university commitments coming up.

Two definite inclusions for Coolangatta are Jamie Nani and Lee Maples, but a final Blues line-up will only be known match morning.

Surfers Paradise on-baller Travis Tamburro has been pencilled in for his comeback from a bad ankle injury but like the Blues, the Demons also have their share of changes.

In other Pineapple Hotel Cup matches, Sandgate hosts Maroochy-Northshore, Palm Beach is home to Wilston Grange, Noose travels to Burleigh and Springwood is home to Mayne.
