Body of missing man found

POLICE have confirmed a body found in a pond on a Wilson's Creek property on Boxing Day is Mullumbimby man Christopher Keyes, reported missing on Christmas Eve.

The 37-year-old was last seen about midnight on Saturday December 24 at a home on Upper Wilsons Creek Rd.

Police were contacted the following afternoon when other residents of the home realised Mr Keyes was nowhere to be found.

His bed had not been slept it and his car and property were still at the home.

Police, State Emergency Service and the Westpac Life Saver Rescue helicopter searched for the man for two days before his body was found at about 1.20pm on Boxing Day.

A report has been prepared for the coroner.
