Bogangar athletes impress

SIXTY-three students represented Bogangar Public School at the District Athletics Carnival at Murwillumbah last month.

Bogangar won the carnival and 23 students then made it to the Far North Coast Athletics Carnival.

Nine of these students have qualified to compete at Lismore for the North Coast Athletics Carnival this Friday.

They are Shelley Foot, Jack Rixon, Rahni Partidge, Kyriel Pope, Adrian Baker, Samara King, Dylan Greenup, Aleisha Shallis and Frankie Taaffe.

Frankie jumped a huge 4.56m to win the senior boys long jump.

His jump broke the previous record which had stood since 1999.

He came second at the Zone Athletics Carnival and will now go on to compete at Lismore this Friday.

Frankie will also compete in the shot put.
