Sleeping Beauty comes to life

SLEEPING Beauty will be performed as a pantomime, written by Kate Peters, and staying true to the original story created by Charles Perrault.

However, the story has some artistic licence, and the show will feature many modern songs and local references staged in the style of a traditional English pantomime – with audience members encouraged to “boo the villain” and “cheer the hero”.

The pantomime will be performed by Top Hat Productions in Spotlight Theatre's Basement today and tomorrow, July 5 to 9 at 10.30am and 1.15pm and July 10 at 11am and 2pm and will be great school holiday fun.

Spotlight Theatre's Basement is located at 187 Ashmore Road, Bundall.

All tickets are $16. Bookings to 5539 4255.
