Book week spells good fun

STUDENTS at Murwillumbah East Primary brought their favourite literary characters to life for the annual book week parade on Thursday.

As part of NSW Education Week, parents and grandparents came to see the kids strut their stuff through the school hall, with awards going to the best dressed for each class.

Murwillumbah East Primary principal Sam Rowsell said the children looked forward to the parade every year as it was a chance to showcase the hard work they'd done throughout the year.

"All children love to show off what they do at school and this is an excellent opportunity to show their parents, younger siblings and the greater community the huge range of things they do,” Ms Rowsell said.
